SDVOSB status provides access to sole-source and set-aside federal contracts. The VA verifies the veteran's service-connected disability rating through the Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert) program. The federal government has a 3% contracting goal for SDVOSBs.
Example
A security consulting firm owned by a veteran with a 30% service-connected disability rating can obtain SDVOSB certification through the VA's VetCert program.
