VOSB certification is verified through the VA's VetCert program (formerly Vets First). While VOSBs don't receive the same contracting preferences as SDVOSBs, the certification is valuable for corporate supplier diversity programs and state/local government contracts.

A logistics company owned by an honorably discharged Marine can obtain VOSB certification to participate in veteran-focused supplier diversity programs.
