Eligibility Requirements

Ownership Requirement 51% owned, operated and controlled by minority group members

Business must be at least 51% minority-owned, operated, and controlled.
Qualifying minority groups include: African American, Hispanic American, Asian-Pacific American,
Asian-Indian American, and Native American.

History

Founded in 1972, NMSDC grew from the original efforts of the National
Business League and the National Minority Purchasing Council. Today it is the nation's leading
advocate for minority business development.
