Eligibility Requirements
Business must be at least 51% owned by one or more women who are
U.S. citizens or permanent resident aliens, and the management and daily operations must be
controlled by one or more women owners.
History
Founded in 1997, WBENC was created to provide a national certification standard
for women-owned businesses and to connect them with corporate members seeking to diversify
their supply chains.
