A solicitation document requesting vendors to submit detailed proposals for goods or services.
How Request for Proposal works in supplier diversity
RFPs are used for complex acquisitions where factors beyond price (such as technical approach, experience, and past performance) are evaluated. Proposals typically include technical volumes, management approaches, past performance references, and cost/price volumes. Evaluation criteria and weighting are specified in the RFP.
