How BMW of North America's supplier diversity program works.
BMW's US supplier diversity effort centers on the Supplier Xchange, hosted by BMW Manufacturing in Spartanburg, South Carolina, together with BMW Purchasing and Supplier Network Americas, BMW Group's purchasing organization for the region. BMW Group's US pressroom describes the annual event at the Greenville Convention Center as one of the nation's largest supplier diversity events, built for women-, minority-, and veteran-owned businesses to spend a day in professional development and network with BMW's Tier 1 suppliers. The event site lists the 2026 edition for May 13, 2026 and carries a standing Supplier Interest Form: businesses identify as women-owned, minority-owned, veteran-owned, LGBTQ+ owned, small business, or nonprofit and mark certifications from NMSDC, WBENC, NGLCC, Disability:IN, the Department of Veterans Affairs, WEConnect International, or the SBA. Earlier editions ran as the Supplier Diversity Xchange; the 2026 event name drops Diversity while the interest form keeps every diverse-ownership category in BMW's own copy.
