Program overview
How City of Houston Office of Business Opportunity's supplier diversity program works.
The Office of Business Opportunity certifies Minority, Women, Small and Persons with Disabilities business enterprises for local city contracting, and certifies Disadvantaged and Airport Concessionaire Disadvantaged business enterprises on behalf of the U.S. DOT. Applications must be submitted online through the OBO portal. LGBT business enterprises certified by the NGLCC appear in the city's certified firm directory. Local certifications run three calendar years, and DBE and ACDBE certifications must be updated every year.
