How US Foods's supplier diversity program works.
US Foods runs its diverse and small business sourcing under the Community and Business Impact banner on usfoods.com. The company says it partners with small businesses and companies owned and operated by a diverse spectrum of people to strengthen its supply chain, and it names the organizations it sources through: the National Minority Supplier Development Council, the Women's Business Enterprise National Council, the National LGBT Chamber of Commerce, the National Veteran-Owned Business Association, Disability:IN, and the SBA. Reported spend counts certified diverse suppliers only, and US Foods also tracks self-certification to support customers' business classification reporting. Foodservice customers can request a report of vendors in their recent purchase history by business classification through a Territory Manager or Account Executive. There is no dedicated diversity registration portal: prospective vendors contact the procurement team in their local market, the path stated on the US Foods supplier information page.
