Organization overview

What PANYNJ is and what it does.

The Port Authority issues its own certifications rather than accepting another body's, in six categories: MBE, WBE, SBE, DBE, ACDBE and SDVOB. MWBE firms are certified for five years, SBE and SDVOB firms for three years, and DBE and ACDBE firms for one year. Port Authority contracts carry goals of 20% MBE, 10% WBE and 3% SDVOB participation.
